Johannesburg 27 November 2013 The National Home Builders Registration Council(NHBRC) sent an independent team of qualified professionals to KZN on Tuesday 26 November 2013 to properly investigate all housing projects that are currently under construction by Woodglaze Trading (Pty) Ltd and Gralio Precast (Pty) Ltd.

This is as a result of recent media reports in which Woodglaze Trading (Pty) Ltd and Gralio Precast (Pty) Ltd are implicated in the alleged building of sub-standard houses.

The NHBRC acknowledges the fact that both construction companies are registered with the
NHBRC.

“The NHBRC takes its mandate very seriously. The building of sub-standard houses is not in accordance with our objective of protecting consumers against fraudulent and shoddy housing construction practises. As a result, the team will, in addition to investigating the housing projects under construction, also investigate the enrolment and compliance of all projects that Woodglaze Trading (Pty) Ltd and Gralio Precast (Pty) Ltd have registered with the NHBRC. A comprehensive report will be finalised on or before Friday 06 December 2013 detailing all the findings” says Mongezi Mnyani, CEO of the NHBRC.
